AI as Your Personal Teacher

The Goal

By the end of this chapter you will be able to use AI as a patient personal teacher for almost any topic. You will know how to get explanations at your level, how to make the AI test you instead of just giving answers, and how to build a learning plan that fits your time and your phone.

Understand: a teacher who never gets tired

Most of us learned in classes of forty or more students. The teacher had no time to explain something five times, in five different ways, until we understood it. An AI assistant has that time. You can ask the “stupid” question, ask again, ask for a different example — at midnight, on the bus, in the shop.

This is one of the most valuable uses of AI, and it costs almost nothing. But it only works if you use it to learn, not to avoid learning.
